Do you love crochet-alongs (CALs) where you work on a project alongside others making the same item? If so I'd love to have you join us for our Wefan Tee and Wefan Wrap Crochet-along. These are some of my most popular designs. They combine three yarns in a stitch pattern that offers a great deal of opportunity to have fun playing with colours and textures so I am really excited to see what you use!

What will we make in the Wefan Tee and Wrap Crochet-along?

There are currently two designs to work on, each of which has customisation options explained in the pattern. Do let me know if you can think of other items that might look good in the Wefan Stitch pattern!

Wefan Tee is a lightweight, short-sleeved lace top written for finished chest (fullest point) circumferences of 99-187cm / 39-73¾“ and designed to be worn with approx. 15cm / 6” ease; this is very flexible and I personally prefer mine with about 2.5-5cm / 1-2" positive ease. The pattern has tips on customising both size and length.

Wefan Wrap comes in three widths: scarf, stole and shawl, with tips to make custom sizes if you fancied making a blanket or tablecloth, for example. You might like to visit my blog post: Wefan Wrap to get some inspiration for your yarn choices.

How can I join the Wefan Tee and Wrap Crochet-along?

To join in, you just need to have a copy of the pattern you want to make. They're available in my Ravelry and Etsy stores in English with both UK and US terms for each crochet pattern plus step-by-step photos and videos to support you with this fascinating stitch pattern.

Wefan Tee is also available in Pom Pom Magazine's issue 44 Spring 2023 (written pattern in US terms only). You are just as welcome to join the make-along if you got your copy of the pattern in their magazine.

If you already have a WiP of Wefan Tee or Wrap underway, and would like some company, please join in too; I'd love to stitch along with you as you complete your project!

How do we share our progress in the Wefan Tee and Wrap Crochet-along?

on your favourite social media. Don't forget to tag me there so I can see and if you're sharing on Instagram, TikTok or Facebook, use the hashtags #wefantee or #wefanwrap, so everyone can see all the projects there!

How long will the Wefan Tee and Wrap Crochet-along run for?

The make-along is intended to run during winter and early spring 2025 (northern hemisphere) and it has no specific end date as I know that some people work speedily through one project at a time, while others work at a more relaxed pace or share their crafting time amongst multiple WiPs, so I want everyone to enjoy stitching happily at their own pace.

Do you have any other make-alongs planned?

If you're also a knitter, you may like to join us for the Garter Lace Wrap Cardigan knit-along. It's a surprisingly easy make that is incredibly versatile to wear and is suitable for all sorts of lightweight yarns. Visit my knit-along blog post for more info.

I'm hoping to add new make-alongs every three months, whilst keeping existing make-alongs open for those still working on their projects and for new starters too.
