Edifice Tote Bag
Inspired by images of the traditional patchwork motif, Tumbling Blocks seemed a perfect fit for a summery crocheted bag. Edifice's design is made up of a three-colour hexagon motif which, when repeated and joined together, gives the appearance of three-dimensional blocks stacked together. The bottom of the bag is worked in a single colour and shaped to fit perfectly into the angles of the hexagons.
The resulting tote bag is very sturdy and roomy and will easily become a staple in your summer wardrobe. The way the strap is attached, conveniently allows it to work as a long shoulder or cross-body bag and also as doubled as a hand carried bag.
The hexagons are very simple and relaxing to make and create a fabric with a fascinating three-dimensional look. The modular construction makes it a perfect travel project and also offers a great chance to use up yarn scraps for those considering ecology or economy in their crafting.MEASUREMENTS
