The set is an eye-catching addition to your summer wardrobe that is so flexible to wear that you’ll feel you have a different outfit each time you wear it!

This also enables it to work well with a range of different outfits, e.g. you could wear both with jeans for a fun festival outfit; just the frilled part with a plain dress for an elegant event or use the bright tube top under a dark satin trouser suit for a dramatic evening look.

TOP MAKER INFO (see below for capelet)

**Intended Ease:** 5cm/2” negative ease around ribcage on bands, 6-12”/15-30cm at bust

Consider your body proportions when choosing a size and adjust following the guidance in the Make it Your Own section. If ready-made clothing is loose on your bust/chest but tight on your shoulders, etc, you could also select a smaller size than usual because the ribbing needs to be extra close fitting to prevent it slipping down the chest. There are more tips for figure types in the Make it Your Own section.

**Tension**: 5 sts by 8 rows = 4” square over V-stitch

**Working method**: strips of ribbing are joined into loops. The body is worked in the round from the one of the loops. The second is attached to the final edge of the tube top. A drawstring and loops are added to the upper ribbing.

**Finished measurements**

CAPELET MAKER INFO

This capelet is an eye-catching addition to your summer wardrobe that is so flexible to wear that you’ll feel you have a different outfit each time you wear it! This also enables it to work well with a varied range of outfits, e.g. you could wear it over jeans for a fun festival outfit; or with a plain dress for an elegant event.

The v-stitch is such a fast, relaxing stitch to work you’ll be surprised how soon you’re ready to wear your outfit and the band and flowers are fun-to-work details that are still easy enough to crochet as you watch your favourite TV series.

It can be partnered with the Floral Queen Top, a tube top that can be worn multiple ways for the ultimate flexible feminine summer wardrobe.

**Sizing and Intended Ease**: (to maintain similar proportion of ruffling from the band, the ease increases proportionately with size)

Consider your body proportions too when choosing a size. There are tips in the Make it Your Own section.

**Tension**: 4.5 sts by 5 rows = 4” square over trV-stitch

**Working method**: a strip of crochet is worked flat and joined as a loop. A ruffle is worked flat along the edge of the loop. Flowers are added on the opening of the frill.
