Sweet Talk Tee Crochet Pattern for a lightweight striped sweater with short sleeved tee and long sleeved pullover options was inspired by two of my favourite crumbly, pressed sugar sweets: Love Hearts and Edinburgh Rock, and has a striped appearance like boxed sticks of rock, with an eye-catching fringe of heart shapes along the hem.

 

This pattern includes ten bust sizes with full instructions provided for three body shapes in addition to guidance and and ideas for creating a personalised style, like long sleeves and a lower neck.

 

Before you start:


Sizes: 1 (2, 3, 4, 5)(6, 7, 8, 9, 10), plus 3 fits bust shaping, no bust shaping and extra bust shaping and is designed with positive ease in mind.


Tension: 25 sts x 25 rows = 10cm x 10cm / 4” x 4” measured over main patt rep using 3 mm hook, after blocking.


Working method: both sides are crocheted sideways in stripes alternating MC and CC, heart motifs are made on ends of CC stripes. Pieces are seamed and edged.

Sample made  in Bona Yarns Merino (100% Superwash Merino; 400m / 437yd per 100g): Starkers (MC / Natural), Ginny (CC1 / Yellow), Elspeth (CC2 / Coral), Sandy (CC3 / Lilac), Helmfried (Trim / Blue).
